We've (finally) reached the finish line​

After over 13 months from the first day of shooting, we've finally finished on After the Tide.

That makes me slightly embarrased to say. Short films are, well... short. They must also be short to make, right?

Not this time!

Through reshoots and a non-existent post-production budget, we limped through to the finish line for this film.

Next week, we premiere our little creation to a private audience of crew, family and friends. Getting objective responses about what we've made from that group will be challening, I think - but we hope the ruthlessness of internet stranges and those ominous festival letters will tell us what we've done right and wrong.

Still short of money, we plan to use our premiere event to raise money for our festival run. Once funded, we'll work with a fesival agent to make sure we're giving ourselves the best chances possible.

Thats a wrap!​

It’s been a hectic couple of months polishing off pre-production, but we finally managed to shoot between 20th-22nd October.

It was an intense and packed three days of early starts and late finishes, and we couldn't be more grateful to our amazing cast and crew who worked tirelessly during these long hours. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and the tide, and are very happy with what we’ve managed to achieve. We still have a long way to go with post-production, and the strong possibility of a small re-shoot, but we’re all excited to share what we have in the works!

Unfortunately, we’re not yet able to share any of the footage we captured, but we are excited to share some BTS photos we managed to capture. There’s more on our social media, along with many more updates, so please follow us there if you’d like to keep up to date with all developments!

We’ve reached our Kickstarter goal!​

Thanks to all of the generous donations from our amazing community of supporters, we’re proud to announce that we’ve reached our funding goal!

We feel immensely fortunate to have gotten such a positive and heartwarming response from the community, and although it’s a cliche, we really couldn’t have done it without you all.

As with any small budget short, there are a large number of challenges we’re prepared to face. This financial support will be essential in transforming the script we have, with all its emotional nuances and depths, into a beautiful short. With pre-production long underway, we’ve already managed to get really far with what we had, and can’t thank you enough for having helped us achieve this.
